Lexi and I found a fan-tastic event for fan activity experience! : Dear Evan Hansen sing along, which is happening in Park slope(a very family friendly, residential neighborhood)
It was nice to see parents also sang along. I thought they were just here for their children, but moms and dads actually showed great performances. It was obvious this fandom mostly targeted whole family. Kids might not be able to go broad way musicals without their protectors' support, which mean parents are also interested in what they will show their kids and where to spend their money.
So for each song, they pick volunteers to sing the song on the stage!!! See how they are enthusiastic. This is the ultimate fan activity here. I didn't raise hands, cuz I don't want to steal their opportunity.
It was touching, but I deleted the whole album from my library, because of the stigma I made in this sing along. (Yes it is not cool for me anymore) However, I still unconsciously sing the songs when I see the lyric book....
I really couldn't sing along, since we need to sing along the fan-singers on the stage. It's totally different from listening studio recorded album. Anyway, it was interesting that most of them memorized all the lines, and they don't want to look at lyric book the we've got. The PRECIOUS lyric book that Jared's sign on. I guess that's one of the way they could show how they loved this musical.
